Our goal is to treat our clients as we would treat our families and to treat our pet patients as though they were our own. Serving Greensboro, Oak Ridge, Summerfield and surrounding areas. Located just behind Home Depot in the Brassfield Office Park.

  • Dr. Hunter Hodges

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Hodges graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and shortly afterwards opened Brassfield Animal Hospital.

    He showed horses competitively while growing up in Virginia until moving to North Carolina for college.  He has 2 daughters, 2 dogs and several horses.  His wife continues to ride and show in the Hunter/Jumper circuit. 

    His interests are Animal Chiropractic and Acupuncture which he practices on dogs, cats and horses.  He received his acupuncture training and certification from IVAS in Calgary, Canada in 2000 and his chiropractic training and certification from Options for Animals in Wellsville, Kansas in 2010.

    Outside of Practice he enjoys Camping, Hiking and Dual Sport Motorcycle riding.

  • Dr. Ralph Yerex

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Yerex opened Brassfield Animal Hospital with Dr. Hodges in 1997. Last year he made the big decision to leave this practice and move to Wisconsin with the love of his life to be closer to family. In Wisconsin, he was an associate Veterinarian at a local practice in town. One year later, he is back with us part time! We are very excited to have him back and he is more than happy to be back.

  • Amanda Prejean-Veterinary Assistant

    Amanda joined the Brassfield team in 2009 when she moved to North Carolina from Maryland. She has been working with animals since 2000 and has loved every moment! When she is not working, she enjoys staying busy and spending time with her husband, 4 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

  • Cindi Mounce-Veterinary Assistant

    Cindi was born and raised here in Greensboro. She has been working with animals since 2005, starting as a kennel attendant and working her way up to a veterinary assistant. She joined the Brassfield team in 2011. She has 2 dogs and 3 cats at home. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs for a walk at the park, kayaking and spending relaxing nights at home.

  • Holley McQuillen-Veterinary Assistant

    Holley moved to High Point from New Jersey in 2015. She has worked in the veterinary industry since 2009. She started working as a kennel attendant and moved up to veterinary assistant. She graduated with and Assosiates degree in General Science from Bergen Community College. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as her dog and rabbit.

  • Kathy Deatherage-Receptionist

    Kathy is a native of Greensboro, and has worked in the veterinary industry since 1988. She recieved her Certified Nursing Assistant degree from Davidson Community College in 1991. She has been married for 25 years with two children, Matthew and Leann. They have 1 dog and 2 cats as their extended family. She joined the Brassfield Animal Hospital team in 2014 as a receptionist. Her faith, her family and her love for animals are her passions.

  • Michelle Lahn-Receptionist

    Michelle is originally from Baltimore, MD, but moved down to Greensboro in 2006 for college and never left. She graduated from Guilford College in 2011 with a degree in Psychology and Art, before realizing her true passion was with animals. She has years of experience caring for a large variety of animals and is currently back in school pursuing her Vet Tech degree. In her free time when she is not working or studying, she enjoys drawing and spending time with her 2 dogs, cat and menagerie of parrots, reptiles and fish.

  • Diane Osborne-Kennel Attendant

    Diane has been a part of the Brassfield team since 2007. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In the future, she would like to be a veterinary technician. She has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a sugar glider, betta fish and 20 tropical freshwater fish. When she is not working, she spends her time on social media, listening to music, watching videos on Youtube or relaxing with friends and her fur babies. She gives each pet with the same love and attention she gives her own.

  • Gina Meeks- Kennel Attendant

    Gina joined the Brassfield team in 2012. She has been working in the veterinary field since 1988. In addition to working in daytime veterinary practices, she has also spent many years working in an emergency veterinary practice on a part-time basis. She has dedicated the last 29 years to providing quality care and unconditional love for all the animals she has had the priviledge to work with. She has been owned by many German Shepherds over the last 30 years and is very content sharing her home with a vast assortment of pussycats.

  • Kayla Stewart-Kennel Attendant

    Kayla has been a part of Brassfield since 2015 and is currently in her 12th year of home-school. She loves helping with all of the animals at the hospital and learning about the veterinarian field. She has 5 dogs, 2 cats and several chickens at home. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and photography.

  • Cheeto

    Cheeto came to Brassfield as a little barn kitten, who quickly won the hearts of all of the doctors, staff, and clients. He adapted very well to to living the life of comfort and luxury as an indoor hospital cat. He enjoys spending his time looking out the window and watching the birds, chasing the laser pointer, and playing with his toy mouse.
